Testimonials
I was both challenged and blessed by our time. I personally had a pretty rough year this past year with various life and family challenges, so I really felt that I needed this. I LOVED the Psalm 103 worksheet time and want to continue to work on it during my soul care times.
I was personally having a particularly tough week this past week and was really tired this past Wednesday, but joining the time gave me fresh energy and the exercises were helpful with what I was going through.
I was really thankful to try to build a habit of reading Psalm 103 daily at night, praying over different aspects of the psalm. Before, I had a hard time going to sleep and would sometimes browse on my computer to wind down, but reading Scripture and praying before going to sleep actually made me less anxious and got better quality sleep too. I'm also thankful for the daily practice of gratitude! I even got to pray a prayer of gratitude for the very people and situations I was annoyed with, and somehow I was able to find things to be grateful for!
Learning about all these missionaries' stories and that they still gave thanks to God in their difficulties really gives me perspective about my own challenges and struggles. I recited some verses to my kids from time to time, and now they sort of remember those verses from psalm 103 as well. It gives me hope that God is working in me and I can experience the love and security from him through my struggles. My husband and I have been doing marriage counseling and it has been up and down. I sent the thank-you email to him earlier, and I'm thankful for the support group.
